Central Government of India has proposed Krishna Circuit project that worth INR 121cr and is expected to promote Kurukshetra on the international tourist map. This project is named after Lord Krishna and is centered on him. This projected was expected to develop Krishna Circuit from Akshardham Delhi to Mathura which included areas of Vrindavan, Goverdhan, Mahavan, Kokila Van, Sher Garh, Gokul, Barsana and Nandgaon and was named as “Brij Chaurasi Kos”. Later Kurukshetra is also announced as the part of this project by Principal Secretary Tourism, Haryana, Sumita Misra. He also said that once the detailed project report (DPR) is announced, this project would be started.
The Krishna Circuit project is approved by center under the Swadesh Darshan scheme of Union Ministry of Tourism. This project is in its final stage and in recent meeting of ministry this month, complete details, and modalities of the project were discussed. Thus, the start of the Krishna Circuit project will definitely boost the tourism in India even from foreign countries.
