Jk Tourism Emphasis On Launching Mobile App For Travelers

Jammu and Kashmir is highly attracted by the visitors all through the year. For enhancing their travel experience, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department is ready to launch a mobile application for them. This newly launched mobile application will help visitors to avail online booking from their comfort zone. The increased footfall of domestic and foreign visitors in the state has boosted the economy of the state. Thus, tourism department is emphasizing to provide them various facilities that provide them hassle free travel and feel good factor. The Chief Minister of the state is seeking cooperation from tourism department and associated stakeholders to ensure that tourists are treated well and none of the is harassed.

The Chief Minister also asked Tourism Secretary to improve travel facilities at important tourist spots by introducing pre-paid taxis. Thus, these taxis will be started from airport and railway stations to nearby locations. Further, emphasis is on to improve the hospitality services and welcome tourist warmly. Tourism department emphasis on introducing Paying guest concept among the local residents and conduction road shows in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia to promote the tourism.
