1. Fiji wants to attract more Indian Customers
Fiji Airways experienced 11% increase in the number of Indian passenger during last year and is expecting that the growth will further be noticed this year. For this, Fiji Airways started its direct flights from April on Nadi-Singapore routes. In the upcoming Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE), Tourism Fiji is expecting large number of buyers, which will be held from May 3rd to 6th at Sheraton Denarau in Denarau Island. Truman Bradley, Chairman, Tourism Fiji while addressing multi city road shows stated that we have yield from Indian market along with growth of 11% last year. He also said that we are confident to expect further crowd from India.
For this, it has started flights to Singapore from April 15 that will be offering new gateway to Indian travelers along with Hong Kong. Further, Truman Bradley is also expecting to increase the duration of stay for Indian visitors from seven nights. It has started targeting adventure tourists, honeymooners and providing them luxurious trips. Moreover, some new activities to educate students on nature conservation are also started to attract school groups. Moreover, apart from India other visitors from countries like New Zealand, USA, Australia, etc are also expected in this Tourism Expo.
