Indian Railways And Unesco Jointly Frame Guidelines For Its Maintenance

Darjeeling is the most attractive and naturally blessed tourist spots in India. Thus, proper ‘Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan' (CCMP) is framed by UNESCO and Indian Railways to preserve this British era rail heritage.

As per report, the train runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling where a core and buffer zone will be fixing for 78 km long narrow gauge rail. Further, concerned departments will also considering framing proper maintenance guidelines for beautifying this beautiful steam locomotives, machinery along with developing some historic stations like Kurseong. The emphasis will also be on preserving tangible heritage like craftsmanship. Thus, the team of experts has visited it’s twice and has presented its report. Thus, this heritage site will be an eye-catching tourist spot for travelers. Hence, Indian explorers will be excited to explore the new Darjeeling and a trip on toy train.
