The Geneva Tourism is all set to enhance its tourism from India, and as an initiative they have decided to introduce the country as its sole guest of honor each year. They want India to fully utilize its travel aptitude as much as possible in front of international visitors just like the way it is going to happen at the Geneva Festival 2011.

The General Manager, Intercontinental Geneva, Michel Perret has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. According to that, it is announced that India tourism will be the guest of honor at the Geneva Festival 2011. It is scheduled to take place from August 4-14, 2011, with the pre festival celebrations on July 21, 2011.
Mr. Michel Perret, who is also a member of Geneva Tourism also informed that each year it will be a great opportunity for India as a whole to showcase its tourism potential. Besides, in order to strengthen the relationship between the duo, we are also focusing on setting up Geneva as a lifestyle destination, so that the incentive market would also come into picture.
In addition to the same, after their interaction with Indian travel trade, the Cypert Schwartz, General Manager, Ramada Park Hotel Geneva declared that primarily we would cater leisure travelers, FITs and MICE tourists from India, and hence create more opportunities in 2011. However, keeping this in mind, the two hotels are intended to visit Gujarat, Punjab and Kolkata during that India tour.
