As per a report, about 11.3% of growth is experience in the foreign tourist arrivals in Indian in the month of February as compared to the last year. The report states that about 7.61 lakh tourist visited Indian in the month of February 2015 and a steep increase in them is experienced this year, which is about 8.47 lakh in February 2016. The increased number of visitors is highest from USA and Bangladesh.
During the month of January-February 2016 is 16.91 lakh, which is further a 9.0% growth as compared to last year’s January-February 2015, which was 16.52 lakh. Because of the increase in foreign tourism in India, Foreign Exchange Earning is also increased to Rs. 13,627 Crore as compared to Rs. 11,642 Crore during February last year. Thus, with the increasing number of visitors to India every year is showing a positive sign for the tourism industry.
