1. India Signs Bilateral Agreement with Fiji to Promote Tourism
In order to promote tourism in India from Fiji, India has signed bilateral agreement to promote new international flights between two countries. This agreement will promote tourism in India from foreign countries and will boost the economy. This bilateral air service agreement (ASA) with Fiji will promote direct flights between these countries and will motivate tourists to plan their vacations at heritage sights in India. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation official, these two countries have agreed to open new airways between the countries where designated airlines will start their air services thrice a week.
The new flights will operate directly from Indian cities like Delhi Hyderabad and Varanasi. Varanasi was added on call for Fijian Airlines in India. However, Indian Airlines will be free to operate anywhere in Fiji. With this agreement, most of the Fijians will have direct entry in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for various reasons. Thus, Varanasi is expected to be the most important city that will attract visitors directly from Fiji and will have various Fijians airlines in India.
