1. GOI to Allot Land to Develop Exhibition Centre at Delhi
Government of India has taken decision to allot 89.72 ha of land in Sector 25 in Dwarka, New Delhi free to Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion for creation of a World class State-of-the-Art Exhibition-cum Convention Centre for sum of Rs. 1. As this is the special case, the directions are issued to the DDA under Section 21(1) of DDA act, 1957. In the meeting, Prime Minister Narender Modi took the decision and discussed it with the members in the meeting. The decision is taken in consideration of promoting creative exhibition that will boost culture, tradition, and tourism in the state.
As per the ownership of the land is considered, it will remain with Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion for creation of a world class state-of-the-art Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre. Along with this, it will also have complete right to own various independent and mutually beneficially facilities like auditorium, exhibition halls, banquet halls, convention centers, arena, hotels, financial centre, food & beverage outlets long with retail services. Further, state government will finance the project structuring, the initial non-PPP trunk infrastructure of this dream project.
