Therefore, DGCA provided a written notice to explain the reason for ticket cancellation charges, as the ticket cancellation charges are equivalent to some short journey in India. The response from airlines needs to be submitted in a written form until Friday.
The last move from IndiGo on ticket cancellation was that airline will not refunded anything if the tickets were cancelled 0-2 hours before the departure of flight. The cancellation charges before this increase for IndiGo was Rs. 1,900 for more than seven days and if tickets were cancelled within, two hours of flight, then the charges would be Rs. 2,250. Along with all these airlines, SpiceJet and AirAsia also raised the cancellation charges.
