1. Bengaluru Airport Greeted It\'s 100 Millionth Passenger
With the dedication of Bengaluru airport staff and management for eight years, it has now achieved a milestone in its service after welcoming 100 millionth passengers. For this special arrangement was made at the airport to welcome this passenger and celebrate the special moment. Vinay Kulkarni was the 100 millionth passengers for Bengaluru airport who arrived here in Jet Airways flight. While commenting on this achievement GV Sanjay Reddy who is the managing director of Bengaluru International Airport Ltd (BIAL) said that this is the special moment to cheer for BIAL for the achievement.
With the growing demand of airline services, this airport has tremendous capability to provide improved and satisfactory services to its passengers. Thus, efforts are made to meet the increasing demand of both domestic and international passengers in the airport. As per report, Bengaluru airport handled 18.1 m passenger during the last year which results to be about 52,00 passenger per day. The officials also cleared that the newly built terminal in 2014 has a capacity to serve 20 m passengers annually. Further, a Terminal 2 is also under construction to meet the increasing traffic of passenger at this airport.
