1. Andhra Pradesh Aiming High to Boost State Tourism
Andhra Pradesh is aiming to become the highly attracted tourist state in India. For this various tourist projects with an investment of Rs. 1,800 crore are finalized. The state has already started working with around 160 travel projects and has involved private investors. With this fund development of requiring infrastructure, five-star facilities and hotels are initiated. Moreover, three-star properties would be developed at various tourist spots like Visakhapatnam, Konaseema-Rajahmundry-Kakinada, Amaravati-Vijayawada, Tirupati-Nellore and Ananthapuramu-Kurnool-Kadapa. Hence, visitors will have all the luxurious amenities on their trip to Andhra Pradesh.
With such a huge investment in the tourism industry, Andhra Pradesh tourism department is also emphasizing on developing various adventurous and water sports. The sports that will be promoted at Visakhapatnam would be jeep parasailing, jet-skiing, speed boats and other water sports activities. Along with this, other activities like waterfall rappelling and rock climbing will be promoted in Chittoor along with seaplane in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, and Vijayawada. Further to spread, awareness of these newly developed tourist spots; the state has conducted 30 festivals and cultural events in the entire state. Thus, after the successful investment of such a huge amount, tourism in the state will attract large domestic and international visitors.
