1. Air India Has Launched Two Additional Weekly Flights on its Delhi-Surat Route
Air India has launched two additional weekly flights on its Delhi-Surat route. The flights will be operated from June 2, 2016. These weekly flights will operate every Thursday and Sunday, using an ATR turboprop aircraft. On both days of the week, Flight AI 9607 will depart Delhi at 07.45 AM and arrive in Surat at 09.25 AM. The return flight - AI 9608 will take off from Surat at 09.55 AM and arrive back in the Indian capital at 11.35 AM.
The extra flights will mean daily flight service on the route by Air India. Currently, the airline operates a Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft on the route five times a week-every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Air India flights to Delhi-Surat-Delhi are quite highly demanded among textile and diamond businessmen and provide seamless connectivity between two of the major business cities of the country.
