The Hermitage Exploration

This is no trip to any mountaintop or exploration of any deep jungles but is nothing less than both. Museums of Russia, especially in St. Petersburg, are one of the most richly stuffed museums anywhere in the world. The most famous is The Hermitage in St. Petersburg. It is said that it would take nearly nine years to even get a glimpse of all the items on display. There are nearly 150,000 items put on display in The Hermitage which is only 5% of museum's total collection. You will be left open mouthed to know that there are nearly 1000 rooms in the museum that you can visit. The Hermitage has the finest collection of Italian Renaissance art, jasper and amber objects and many other items that were brought to Russia from all parts of the world.
