This is one of the most well known mountain ranges of Romania, the Ceahlau Massif is also called the 'Jewel of Moldavia'. Located in the eastern Carpathians chain of the Neamt county, this mountain series stands out in a tremendous way from its surrounding countryside. It is essentially a separate and secluded mountain with formations like an old castle with straight tall walls, towers and appearance.
Toaca and Ocolasul Mare are two of its most significant cliffs with amazing view. You can enjoy the natural beauty to its core as you can find over 2,000 flower species, cliff butterfly and other rare plants along with several wild animals in this region. That is precisely the reason why this mountain and the surrounding area has been declared a national park.
