More famous as the Dracula's Castle, Bran Castle is one of the most visited attractions in Romania. Built atop a 200 ft tall rock, the castle dominates the skyline of the scenic village of Bran. It was build in the year 1377 as a protection for Brasov from any invasions. Today it serves as a museum displaying rich art and furniture collected from different countries. Below the castle, an open air ethnographic museum with exhibites like furniture, costumes and household items from period around 14th century is also a must visit destination.
