Poland

One of the most important countries in Central Europe, Poland is an absolute pleasure for tourists of all interests. Not only is the infrastructure splendid for tourists, the attractions, both man made and natural, are absolutely marvelous; enough to make Poland one of the most visited countries in Europe. During summers, the valleys are scintillating green and during winters, the whiteness of the slopes will give you a purifying sensation.

Sharing its border with countries like Germany in the west, Czech Republic, and Slovakia to the south, Ukraine, Belarus in the eastern, Poland has kept up pace with these countries and today is a well developed economy.

In fact, Poland, the ninth largest European country, is considered to be one of the resurgent stories of Europe. Breaking free from the shackles of communism, Poland has transformed into a parliamentary democracy and developed into a favorable country for businesses.

Poland compared to most European countries is relatively low lying with average height of only around 300 m above sea level. Mt Rysy in Tatra Mountains, with 2499 meters is the highest point in the country.

Tatra Mountain ranges are one of the important tourist destinations of the country. The wide beaches and the crystal clear lakes present to you ample opportunities for water sports and spots for relaxation.

The cities are the best reflection of a country's culture, traditions, the present and sometimes the future. Warsaw is the capital and the largest city of Poland. The vibrant life of Warsaw and the laid back atmosphere sure seem to be contradictory, but the result of their amalgamation is Warsaw. Best for shopping and for exploring Polish cuisine, Warsaw immediately captures your attention with its attractions in its Old Town and historical churches.

Do not forget to take a walk along the many charming streets in the city. Other important cities of Poland are Cracow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan and Lublin.

The best time to visit for traveling in Poland is from June to October. However, tourists who are looking for winter sports, the period from November to early March is the best. Poland is still climbing the tourism ladder and this is probably the most suited time for traveling in Poland as most tourist destinations are still unhampered and a lot of attention is paid to the interests of the tourists.
