Darien National Park

On the sides of more than 500 rivers, there are numerous national Parks. With an area of 579,000 hectares, Darien National Park is the largest of all Panamanian national parks. Recognized as a Biosphere Reserve in the year 1983, Darien National Park is rich in flora and fauna species, especially the bird population is really impressive. It is also home to Harpy Eagle, the national bird of Panama.
