Covering an area of 50 sq miles, Coiba is the largest island in Panama. The entire island was declared as a national park. The stunningly beautiful Coiba National Park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2005. Not only is the inside of the park full of wildlife, the waters around the island too are teeming with Marine life. It has also captured the imagination of researchers with its treasure of rare flora species.
