National Museum

A tourist who wishes to explore the rich history of Oman, National Museum in Ruwi is a must visit. The museum has put on display arts and articles related to past rulers of Oman. One can see the costumes, jewelery, weapons and other personal items used by them. The museum also houses many ancient manuscripts and documents that have in them the past of Oman recorded. The museum is open on all days from 09.00 to 13.00 hrs and 17.00 to 19.00 hrs except on Fridays when it opens only in the evening from 17.00 to 19.00 hrs.
