Anne Frank House: Amsterdam

It was here that Anne Frank, the teenager who wrote a diary about her hiding from the Nazi persecution during the second world, hid with her family and the family of a friend. It is converted into a museum and is one of the most visited attraction of the country. It was inaugurated in the year 1960. Visitors can see the swinging book shelf that concealed the door to the hidden rooms, the black and white pictures that were pasted by Anne Frank on the walls. One can visit the Museum from Monday to Saturday, from 9AM to 9PM. On Saturdays the museum is open till 10 PM. September to mid March, the museum is open on all days from 9 AM till 7 PM.
