Chichén Itzá

If we are to go with the coveted list Chichén Itzá is in, it is one of the top seven destinations in the world; it has been adjudged as one of the new seven wonders of the world and it is one of the most visited attraction of Mexico. Chichén Itzá is a pre-Columbian structure which was built by Maya civilization. There are many wonderful structures in the compound but the most important is El Castillo, a huge pyramid shaped structure which was the Temple of Kukulkan. There is a staircase on each side of the pyramid which are famous for the shadows they cast during sunrise and sunsets. The area is spilled with many temples and areas for recreation and games in the earlier periods.
