Wildebeest Migration- Once in a Lifetime

The great Wildebeest Migration, many not know, is an addition in the “Seven New Wonders of the World”. It involves the huge movement of over two millions of animals, including zebras and wildebeest migrate from the prominent Serengeti National Park of Tanzania to the blooming meadows of Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during July through to October. The animals cross the famous Mara River of the Masai Mara region which is really not easy for them as it directly makes them the food of predator crocodiles. Further, heavy hunting or run downing by the larger carnivores also add to a dramatic wildlife story of this Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. To carry each moment in your camera carry a professional photographer with you.

The perfect time to observe the Wildebeest is normally between June and August. It is the time when the excited wildebeest prepare to cross the Grumeti River. Stay inside the camps of this area to see the natural show, decided by the quantity of grazing, and is primarily relied on the amount of rainfall received. Strong seasonal conditions represent the wild season in which the wildebeest takes rest on the plains in south east and the dry season is celebrated in the woodlands of the north-west and returns home gradually towards the Serengeti between December and January. However, the time between January and March at the base of the Gol Mountains underlines the maximum precise time of the vast wildebeest giving birth.
