Tokyo National Museum

Established in the year 1872, Tokyo National Museum is the oldest museum in Japan. With over 110,000 items in its collection, it also is the largest museum of the country. The museum mainly concentrates on collecting ancient Japanese and Asian arts. It has one of the largest collection of Greco-Buddhist art. Among its exhibits are the 87 artifacts that Japan has proclaimed as national treasures holdings and 610 important cultural property holdings
