The Cathedral of Sacred Heart Delhi is one of the oldest churches located in New Delhi, India. The construction of the same commenced in year 1929 and took around 4 years to complete. As a result, it is seen that the cathedral is extended up to 14 acres, situated amid the two catholic convent schools of Saint Columba's school and the Convent of Jesus & Mary School. While looking at its structural designing you find that the main platform at which religious ceremonies are performed, is prepared of pure marble, donated by Sir Anthony de Mello. As far as the church edifice is concerned, its designing was laid by British architect Henry Medd, and is inspired from Italian style of making.
