A Geothermal Bath In Blue Lagoon

Easily the most visited attraction in Iceland, Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa that is right up there in must have experiences around the world. The blue mist covered pool is situated in Grindavík which is just 39 km from Reykjavík city. The pool is fed by a nearby geothermal power plant which inturn comes from a lava formation at a much higher temperatures. The water in the pool is 400C in swimming and bathing areas. The water is rich in minerals like Silica and Sulphur and it is said that bathing here is helpful in curing many skin diseases. The deep blue water covered with steam is visually appealing too.
