Neuschwanstein Castle

Situated in southwest Bavaria, Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most recognized tourist destination in Germany. This Bavarian Castle was constructed by King Ludwig in the the 19th century. Earlier it was not a tourist destination but after 1886, it was opened to tourists and has always been among the most visited destinations in the country. Neuschwanstein Castle was also the finalist in the selection of new Seven Wonders of the World but narrowly missed out. Since then the castle is referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. Build in medieval style, the exterior of the castle is grand and the interiors lavish. The palace has been an inspiration for most of the Disneyland parks around the world.
