Build in the year 1791, it was erected to celebrate the Prussian victory. Brandenburg Gate today is the most important symbol of the city and the only standing gate which was used to enter the city. The imposing structure which is topped by a statue of Goddess Victoria riding a four horse chariot, was the only structure that withstood the destruction of World War in Pariser Platz.
