The Eiffel Tower has been the face of France ever since its completion in the year 1889. The Eiffel Tower is the tallest structure in France.
Year on Year the number of visitors are increasing to just have a fleeting glimpse of this glorified structure. So much that in 2006, it crossed the 6 million mark and overall 200 million making it the most visited monument in the world.

One couldn't possibly leave Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. Even if one doesn't have time to visit this man made wonder, you will see its top from all over Paris.
It is far beyond mortal imagination! The tip of the Eiffel tower has a height of 300 meters tall (984 ft). And this miracle was culminated by Gustave Eiffel, the man who built the Eiffel Tower.
Few know this fact that the Eiffel Tower was built for the World Exhibition in 1889,which in turn was held in celebration of the French Revolution in 1789.
The Eiffel tower was constructed only for a temporary period but it still stands today despite many protests by people who feared that this huge 'object' would obstruct the flight of birds and harm the harmony of the city.
The Eiffel Tower took more than two years to complete. Today, there is no such aversion anymore albeit one could not imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower, or in other words it has become the symbol of the City of Light.
