It is a treat to see the runners covering a distance of over 42 kms that runs through a very unique and interesting course. Usually regarded as very competitive and unpredictable, this race course accommodates both East and West hemispheres and it is set along the banks of the famous Thames river.
The prize money of the Virgin London Marathon is a staggering $1 million. With a noble cause behind the race has raised a swashbuckling £450 million for charity since its inception. With less surprise, it happens to be one of the largest annual fund raising event in the world.
