Roskilde Festival , Denmark

Held in South of Roskilde in Denmark, Roskilde Festival is amongst the top five annual music festivals of Europe. Created by two high schools Mogens Sandfær and Jesper Switzer Møller, Roskilde Festival is an eventful fest created in the year 1971. Later in 1972, it was taken up by the Roskilde Foundation, that has been running the fest as non profit organization for the development of music, society and culture.

Originally created for hippies, the Roskilde Festival is the main music oriented festival that now involves Scandinavian and other European population. Every year more than 1 lakh participants come to show case their talent in this fest. This is 4 day event is one of the largest in Denmark and a spectacle to watch. The bands presented at Roskilde Festival are traditionally a balanced mix of large well known artists in the absolute live elite, cutting-edge artists from all contemporary genres, popular crowd-pleasing acts.
