The unique cultures and identities of the Pacific nations and New Zealand finds a holistic celebration in form of the Pasifika Festival. This is a week-long festival which centres around a specific theme. An annual event, Pasifika Festival is said to be the largest festival of its type in the world. It is time for celebration as performers from Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Tahiti, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Kiribati and the tangata whenua flock to Auckland to showcase their art.

The visitors of the Pasifika Festival has got a lot to enjoy and explore as there is an elaborate range of events to festival-goers including art exhibitions, a debating series, emerging artists performances and dance workshops. The first edition of this fiesta was held in the year 1993 and since then it has grown to a massive size and significance. Over 2,25,000 visitors from all across the world come here to be a part of the celebrations.
