Kinetic Grand Championship is a fun place to be as queer looking moving objects keep the audience entertained and engaged while the move on land, water, mud and so on.
Known as the Triathlon of the Art World, the Kinetic Grand Championship is a 3-day, 42-mile bicycle race over land, sand, mud and water. This is an organized contest of human-powered amphibious all-terrain works of art.
Be here to see art and engineering coming together with physical endurance during a three day cross country race that includes sand, mud, pavement, a bay crossing, a river crossing and major hills. The idea for this race dawned in 1969 when artist Hobart Brown decided to make his son's tricycle into a mobile sculpture.
In todays time, this event has become a benchmark of who can build the best (or weirdest) human-powered sculpture. This not only displays unique example of creativity, but also shows what human efforts can do in terms of art and technical knowledge. Enjoy the show as queer and crazy looking vehicles run, float and swings all over with cheering crowd and equally elated drivers!
