The Gravity Adventure Festival welcomes the highly interested participants to experience the wide-ranging events ranging from kayaking to rock climbing and river rafting among others. Initially, it was recognized as a Kayaking event and was in good books of local Kayakers, who spent their time on the rapids of the Palmiet River.
Throughout the weekend it seems like a fair due to its endless inclusions like Trail Run, MTB Race, K1 Sprint, Mile River Swim, Downriver Kayak Race, etc. and thus dumbfounds all that who wish to observe it. It is scheduled to commence on Friday with a Croc Float at 2pm which is a trip down the 5km of Palmiet River ending off at the campsite, linked by the Film Festival Preview where the best three videos will be shown on the next day night. Really, it is the most diverse fiesta in South Africa that has now 8 different disciplines open for entry.
Additionally, the two new events which are the Mile River Swim and the Estuary Sprint (which can be entered with either a K1, K2 or Surfski) are also the inevitable part of whole adventure. Plus, Sunday is decided to execute the Estuary Sprint that will definitely not clash with the Saturday K2 race in Swellendam.
So, be on time to make best of it and don’t forget to carry a tight time schedule with you as it will be of great help while taking pleasurable dips in it.
The Gravity Adventure Festival is loaded with great adventure sports and various events. It takes place every year at the notable Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve near Kleinmond and its stateliness just make your whole weekend dazzling.
