About Pyramids of Giza: Cairo

The pyramids of Giza are one of the seven wonders of ancient world and true ornaments of ancient Egypt and its architecture.. There are nearly 100 pyramids scattered all over Egypt. There are in all three pyramids in Giza Necropolis. Pyramids are triangular shaped structure built of stones stacked one over other. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest and oldest of all the pyramids in Egypt. This retained the position of the tallest man made structure for nearly 4,000 years. The Great Pyramid of Khufu The Great Pyramid of Khufu is only magnanimous pyramid known to people till date. After its construction it became one of the Ancient Seven Wonders Of The World, and today, it is the only one of them remaining. This marvellous man made wonder has resisted time lines for a period of 4300 years. The Khufus Pyramid is built entirely of limestone, and is considered an architectural marvel.The Pyramid of Khufu is primarily made up of around 1,300,000 blocks of solid boulders ranging from 2.5 tons to 15 tons and is built on a square base with sides measuring about 230m 755ft !
