The name may say that it is The Little Mermaid of Copenhagen but the aura of this National Symbol of Denmark is simply not small that it fails to prove attention-grabbing for you. The statue is a wonderful creation of Hans Christian Andersen in 1837, but the actual credit of exposing it to public gaze goes to the founder of Carlsberg Breweries. It is less than five feet tall and seems actually much smaller than your expectations.
