Kronborg Castle: Zealand Island

Kronborg Castle is not only one of the most important in Denmark but for entire Northern Europe. Kronborg is the most important Renaissance Castle in Northern Europe. Built in the 1420s by the then Danish King. The castle has been reconstructed many a times; once after a major fire destroyed most of the castle. Christian IV, managed to re construct it to its former glory but the interiors never felt of the same aura again. It is situated near the city of Helsingor on the tip of Zealand Island.
