Copenhagen City Hall

Copenhagen City Hall with its dominating tower is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen. The tower rises to a height of 106m. Opened in the year 1905, Copenhagen City Hall exhibits an amalgamation between Italian Renaissance style and medieval Danish architecture. Just above the main entrance, there is a golden statue of Absalon, a Danish archbishop and a statesman. Inside the main hall, there are other statues of famous people like Niels Bohr, Hans Christian Andersen and the architect of the hall Martin Nyrop. Another major attraction of the city hall is Jens Olsen's City Hall.
