Dambulla rock temple, a UNESCO Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The temple complex consists of five caves with painted walls and ceilings. The Sigiriya rock fortress is a UNESCO Heritage Site, the palace of 5th century King Kasyapa. The lion shaped rock situated in a fortified area surrounding a water ring, trench and a rampart. And famous for the world-renowned frescoes of the Sigiriya ” Maidens of the Clouds”.
