Darjeeling has an old world charm. Walking down through several interconnected hilly lanes of the city, you will come across several grand mansion and cottages of the British Period. Early morning visit to Tiger Hill (2590 metres /8482 ft ).Watch beautiful sunrise and Kanchenjunga range. If lucky, one can view Mt. Everest too. Visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop. Return to the hotel for breakfast and proceed for city tour at Himalayan Mountaineering institute, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Japanese temple, Peace Pagoda, Tea Estate, Padmaja Naidu Zoo, Ropeway. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a day long excursion to Mirik Lake. Mirik is a hill station to relax and ease out. Situated at an altitude of 1767 meters. The major attraction is the Samedu Lake. The lake is around 1.5 km long. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Kanchenjunga on the backdrop with its reflection on the lake.
