Dear Team hellotravel. I had finalised my travel plans with MakeMyTrip. I?ve written to them on my experiences during the trip as follows. I?ve not received any feedback or response from them. This is not acceptable. I feel you should take up the matter with this agency to correct their working as this created difficulties for us during the trip. Quote ? Dear Ms Tanu, Mr. Tarkeshwar, I was informed that Mr. Tarkeshwar is Ms Tanu?s senior. It appears that the logistics of the trip have neither been planned properly nor checked by any senior of the trip planner. I would like to bring out here that the itinerary should have considered the travel time from start to end of each leg of the journey. On the last day, as planned in the itinerary, the travel time called for the journey from Manali to Chandigarh to commence at 0400 hrs in the morning. Considering that the road journey is about 10 hrs, the arrival at Chandigarh would be 1400 hrs which would leave no margin whatsoever for any kind of incidental delays. A delay would have resulted in missing the flight - Chandigarh to Mumbai - altogether. To ensure against this possibility, we left Manali on 11th July 2014, have lost one full day of the trip and also lost the hotel charges which we have paid Makemytrip for the 11th July as we have left one day early. Additionally we incurred hotel expenses for the one night stay at Chandigarh. Will Makemytrip compensate me for this loss of about Rs. 4500/-? Instead of the planning the trip from Shimla ?Kullu ? Manali, it may have been better to reverse the sequence as the road journey from Shimla to Chandigarh is only around 4-5 hrs. We would also like to bring out that though KC Tours and Travels had provided a very competent driver, he was no help whatsoever as a guide. A guide is essential on such a trip and we have been charged a sizeable amount by Makemytrip for the trip arranged by them. I am therefore constrained to state categorically that Makemytrip have not done justice to the planning of this trip. You may consider the above as a complaint from a well-paying customer.
