This is the most famous and politically important square in Cuba. Covering an area of nearly 72000 m2, Plaza de la Revolución is one of the largest city squares in the world. The square has stood witness to many rallies and revolutions that have altered the course of Cuban history. With its 109m tall tower and an 18m statue, José Martí Memorial is the main attraction of the place. The tower is also the tallest in the city. An elevator takes you to the top of the tower from where you get an all round views of Havana.
