Parliament Hill is considered to be among the most important heritage sites in entire Canada. Located in downtown Ottawa by the banks of Ottawa River, the parliament buildings are the site of parliament of Canada. The present structure was built after a fire destroyed the Center Block in the year 1916. A humongous renovation project was started in 2002 in all the precinct's building that will cost nearly $ 1 billion. Bordered by Ottawa River on the north, Ridau Canal on the south and famous Wellington Street on the east, Parliament hill covers an area of nearly 88, 480 square meters.
