Alert, Nunavut

Nunavut territory of Canada is home to a tiny fishing hamlet called Alert. This is no the end of the story, its just the beginning! Located on the Arctic Ocean the nearest town is lying at a distance of 1,300 miles, whereas the North Pole is just 500 miles away. This kind of features make it the northernmost permanently inhabited place in the world.

Very brutal with its temperature, that drops to even 40 degrees below zero, this might not be an ideal vacation spot. But its inaccessibility and tough living conditions have transformed to to a sort of enigma.
