Emas in Portuguese is the name for the rheas which is the the most prominent species that is found in Emas National Park. This national park is a heaven for biologists as it is home to most well preserved pure grassland type of cerrado vegetation. Many tourists have recommended Emas as a great place for wildlife viewing. There are in all 354 species of birds and 78 mammal species that are found here. One other thing you will notice here is the huge number of termite mounds, few of which would be glowing, a phenomenon exclusive to Emas National Park.
