Cathedral of Maringa

The odd cone shape of the cathedral makes it the most distinguishable structure in entire Maringa city. With a height of 124m, Cathedral of Maringa is the tallest church in South America and the 16th tallest in the world. The construction of this Roman Catholic cathedral was started in the year 1959 and took nearly took 13 years to get completed. It was opened only in the year 1972.
