Tsodilo

This is the only UNESCO recognized World Heritage Site in Botswana. Tsodilo is a hill destination that has probably the highest concentration of pre historic rock art. There are 4 main hills in Tsodilo which are mainly known as Male, Female, Child and and un-named knoll. Most of the nearly 4,500 rock paintings are found in the female hill. Situated right in the middle of Kalahari Desert, you can reach the spot using a dirt road. The main attraction of Tsodilo is a huge sculpture of a Python and 70,000 old artifact. The sculpture of Python seems absolutely real often bamboozling tourists. There are signs that the python was worshiped and offered sacrifices. This is the first known ritual by human beings.
