Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

This park was formed by combining Kalahari Gemsbok of South Africa and Gemsbuck National Park of Botswana. Incidentally, this happens to be the first peace park of the African continent. The reason being, it mixes the fragmented ecological aspects across national borders and advocates environmental and political stability and brotherhood.

You can locate two rivers at the middle of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park- Auob and Nossob that flows down to the Molopo river thereby creating majestic valleys through the sand dunes of Kalahari. During and just after the annual rain, the park is covered with colourful flowers and various types of vegetation that attracts wildlife like gemsbuck,. Spring buck, blue wildebeest and red hartebeest.
