Deception Valley

This is a flat floored valley located in the northern part of the central Kalahari region that covers an area of over 80 kms from east to west. The name it got completely proves true, as from an apparent view it appears to be a river valley; but as a matter of fact, this is a series of 'fossil' valley.

This valley is enveloped with the local scrub vegetation. During the rainy season some other plantation grow on its surface. These invites herds of animals like gemsbok and springbok. Following them comes the lot of the predators who feast upon them. It is comparatively an active period in this region. You can even see the rock work of our stone age predecessors.
