Trongsa Dzong

Tsongra Dzong, built in the year 1644, is an important building that once used to be the seat of power during Wangchuck Dynasty. Built on a high ground above Mangde Chhu gorges, the palace offers splendid views of nearby low lying areas which are admirably lush green. It is the present royal residence of the ruling family.
