Scanning the Horizon for Whales in Byron Bay, Australia

Whale watching is never the same once you do it from the beaches of Byron Bay in Australia. Imagine you are idling away in the beach with some snacks and beer and suddenly a tail of a massive humpback whale rises from the sea water and falls down making a thunderous splash. Sometimes you might witness the sight of a mother whale swimming along side with her baby in synchronized motion. Winters are the bet time to view these marine wonders from the beach in the evening. You might have to wait a while to see them, but even the wait is not boring or dull.
